Registration Information

2022 marks the 32nd edition the Mayor's Cup. Founded in 1990 by legendary Boston coach Bill Squires to bring open cross country back to Franklin Park, the first race drew just nine runners. The event now draws nearly 1,000 entrants from youth development runners to international caliber harriers. All races get at least one shot at Bear Cage Hill.

In 2022, the event will feature 6 youth races, a 5K All-comers, 5K Women's Championship, and 8K Men's Championship. 

The Mayor's Cup is supported by and partners with the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department with generous support from the B.A.A.
