Volunteer Assignment Job Types
Assignments are broken down by area on the volunteer application. Here are the different areas to choose from
Pre Race	Start	Finish	Amateur Radio	5k
Anything that happens before Marathon Monday. This includes the Boston Marathon Expo and Fan Fest.	These jobs are located in Hopkinton, MA either at the starting line, or in Athletes Village.	Jobs located in Boston, MA. Please note: AM Bus Loading and AM Gear Check are Finish Area jobs due to their location in Boston.	The Boston Marathon communications team. Job locations at the Start, Course, and Finish Areas. All volunteers must hold current FCC licenses for amateur radio positions.	Any positions related to the B.A.A. 5k, which will be held on April 16th.

If you don't see your typical or expect assignment, you should check to see if you've received a group name and passcode from your Team Captain or Group Leader. You can use the group name and passcode after selecting "Join an Existing Group" on Step 5 of the application.
