Registration for the 2019 Boston Marathon has now closed after the maximum number of athletes who qualified and submitted for entry has been reached
The Boston Marathon does not have a waiting list, late registration on race weekend, or race day registration. Neither entry nor bibs may be transferred, deferred, or refunded.
For those who applied for entry during Week One of registration (September 10 through September 15, 2018) but who do not yet see their name posted on the Boston Marathon’s Entry List webpage, please be aware that it may take several days or longer to verify qualifying performances depending on a number of factors. The B.A.A. asks for your cooperation and patience during this verification process. Please do not contact the B.A.A. during this period unless requested to do so by the Athlete Services office.
Runners who submitted their entry during Week Two of registration (September 17 through September 19) will be ranked based on their qualifying performance. The B.A.A. is in the process of verifying qualifying times. Please be aware that due to an increase in the amount of registration submissions received this year, only a small percentage of entries submitted from Week Two will be accepted.
Notification will be sent to all runners who submitted indicating acceptance or non-acceptance.
The B.A.A. will not predict the "cut off" time needed to gain entry into the 2019 Boston Marathon. The total number of qualifiers and their qualifying times will determine the cut-off time. Due to field size limitations, not all qualifiers who apply will be accepted.
Please note that, as always, the Boston Athletic Association will continue to review the qualifying standards for the Boston Marathon.
The Boston Athletic Association thanks you for your cooperation and wishes you the best of luck with the pursuit of your athletic goals.
