Preparing for Your Volunteer Assignment
Before Your Assignment
- Review the B.A.A. Volunteer Standards of Conduct, Volunteer Rights and Responsibilities, and Guidelines.
- Review the check in location for your assignment.
Getting to Your Assignment
- The majority of volunteers will report to Boston Common. NOTE: The Volunteer Tent is in a NEW location on Boston Common. Your specific check in location is noted in your assignment email.
- Fluid Station volunteers will report directly to their fluid station.
- Parking in Boston is limited and we regret that we cannot make parking available; please take the MBTA if possible.
MBTA STATIONS | For a complete map and schedule, please visit www.mbta.com. Chinatown is the closest Orange Line station. Boylston and Arlington stations are also nearby stops on the Green Line. |
PARKING | The B.A.A. recommends parking at the Garage at 100 Clarendon in Boston’s Back Bay. With race-day road closures in effect, this is the best location to park your vehicle on Sunday morning. On-street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods of Beacon Hill and Back Bay is available, but limited. |
DROP-OFF/PICK-UP | Please note that Charles Street will close at 5:00 a.m. and drop-off access near the start line will be blocked. If you plan on being dropped off on race morning, please plan to do so on Beacon, Boylston, Tremont, or other nearby streets. |
