We recommend stopping at one of the medical tents along the course. The B.A.A. provides “Sweep buses” along the course. These are available to pick up runners who are unable to finish.

Official participants of any B.A.A. event have a specific time limitation to complete the course. The course will begin to re-open to traffic prior to the conclusion of timing and scoring, and those remaining on the course will be directed off the roadways and on to walkways by local police.

Time limitations at B.A.A. events:
B.A.A. 5K: 1-Hour (net time) to complete the course
B.A.A. 10K: 2-Hours (net time) to complete the course
B.A.A. Half Marathon: 3-Hours (net time) to complete the course
B.A.A. Boston Marathon: 6-Hours (net time) to complete the course Race Information Medical What do I do if I cannot complete a B.A.A. event once I have begun?
